Follow Louisa Keyworth on her Land’s End to John o’Groats epic end-to-end cycle challenge

Most of us picture riding a bike as an enjoyable past time, with the wind at your back and sun on your legs. Well how about 1068 miles over 19 days? Our very own Louisa Keyworth is about to start a huge personal challenge by cycling the length of Great Britain.

The event is a Cycle Touring Club ‘holiday’ ÔÇô which organises several tours each year, both in the UK and internationally, including three LEJOGs!

Talking about the challenge Louisa says,

‘It isn’t a specific charity ride but I have chosen to raise funds for Cancer Research as this is something important to me. I also felt that as I won’t be repeating this challenge, it made sense to mark it in some way and I will need every bit of motivation I can get to keep pedalling up those hills!’

The tour is supported, so Louisa at least won’t have to carry her bags. The epic journey will take place from 1 ÔÇô 19 September. It is a total of 1068 miles, with an average of 60 miles per day, staying in B&Bs, small hotels and hostels. There will be about 20 participants from all over the country who will meet for the first time at the start of the ride at Land’s End.

We will try and motivate Louisa as much as we can by posting her updates on our Facebook Wall and sending her inspirational messages.
