Baggers’ Delight

Scratch Off Munro Bagging Print

Named after Sir Hugh Munro, an original member of the Scottish Mountaineering Club, a Munro is defined as any mountain in Scotland over 3000ft, and there are a whopping 282 of them dotted around the Highlands. The goal is to ‘bag’ each one by hiking to the very summit. Bag them all and you earn the enviable title of ‘Munroist’.

If you’d rather experience the beauty of the Lake District National Park from up high, Alfred Wainwright’s Pictorial Guide to Lakeland Fells depicted 214 hills in total, which are also a popular challenge for ‘baggers’. In 2008, a boy of six became the youngest person to have completed all of the Wainwrights, with his name added to a register kept by the Long Distance Walkers Association of those who have successfully bagged all 214.

If either of these sounds like a worthy challenge for you, our Collect & Scratch Munro-Bagging and Wainwright Hill-Bagging prints are the perfect companion, allowing you to scratch off each summit, plan the next, and keep a running tally of your bagging progress.
