Scales information
MapVu 10 (1:10,000 scaled mapping) – Street Level Mapping
This level of mapping offers you street level data in a clear and easily readable format, with nearly all roads named. This scale is ideal for covering small areas with great detail. Perfect for covering small towns, or parts of larger towns. Maps International can create maps to any size meaning that there is really no constraint, apart from the size of your wall, to the area that you are able to cover.
MapVu 40 (1:40,000) – Main roads are named
This level of data offers you excellent town, city and even village detail. Including all major road names and also smaller A road names, Map Vu 40 is ideal for covering a larger area than MapVu 10 but still maintaining an excellent level of detail.
MapVu 100 (1:100,000) – Major roads are named, along with small villages
Map Vu 100 is ideal for covering a relatively large area – for example on a county by county basis. Also perfect for adding administrative boundaries, such as county or ward boundaries for example.
Map Vu 200 (1:200,000) – Useful for regional mapping allowing you to cover a large area.
MapVu 200 is designed to be the best scale for covering large areas of the country. Excellent as a regional route planner as well as a good tool for planning regional operations. MapVu 200 works well as a series of maps covering the UK, for each of your sales/operations teams round the country.
MapVu 625 (1:625,000) – Overview UK mapping
MapVu 625 is very popular with companies that have sales territories across the UK. Excellent for use as a large scale route planner offering detailed road systems in easy to pick out colouring.

Boundary Information
You can choose to add boundaries to your wall map. Below is a range of standard boundaries we offer. In addition we can add your own business boundaries, such as sales territories and delivery areas.
Postcode Boundaries
On all our Map Vu datasets you are able to add additional postcode information for no extra charge.
Postcodes are the reference system for the UK’s postal system as developed by The Royal Mail. Maps International continually updates its postcode data in line with The Royal Mail boundary release, ensuring that our maps are always the most up-to-date.

Add additional layers of postcode data to your map for no extra charge. Postcodes can help you with planning from delivery pricing to marketing operations.
There are three levels of detail that you can use on your map:
Postcode Areas (e.g. OX)
Postcode Districts (e.g. OX29)
Postcode Sectors (e.g. OX29 8)
The next level is the Postcode Unit, or the full postcode (e.g. OX29 8RU). Postcode Units are too small to be included in the data as they tend only to correspond to a handful of occupancies.

Administrative Boundaries
For no additional cost you are able to add Administrative boundaries to your wall map. Administrative Boundaries are the different levels of classification that government and local government use to split the country into local areas of governance.

The boundaries that are available to you are as follows:
Counties (i.e. Oxfordshire)
Districts (i.e. West Oxfordshire)
Parishes (i.e. Long Hanborough)
Wards (i.e. Freeland and Hanborough)
Unitary Authorities - counties that have already changed over to be Unitaries
To keep the quality of our maps at the highest possible standard we recommend you only to choose two levels of boundaries to add to your map. This is because adding more than two boundary sets can the map confusing and complicated and detracts from the purpose of the mapping.
