Agri-Business

The term ‘Agri’ Business’ can be defined as the blending of both agriculture and business, referring to the range of activities encompassed by modern food production. This obviously encompasses a huge range of businesses including farming, seed supply, agrichemicals, farm machinery, distribution, processing, retail etc.

A key feature of the businesses found in the Agriculture sector is their tendency to have multiple assets which in turn mean multiple geographic locations. The need to view such assets geographically becomes even greater when one factors in the recent unprecedented occurrence of disease outbreak such as Bird Flu and Blue Tongue.
